Today, Greenpeace UK launched a new Russian Tanker Tracker service. The tracker has identified at least 148 supertankers carrying oil and gas from Russia since the start of Putin’s invasion of Ukraine on February 24th. As of March 11, 2022, five tankers that left Russian ports are actively headed to the United States. This is despite President Biden declaring a ban on Russian oil.
