A report released today in advance of an international meeting next week finds that Australia is failing to adequately protect the World Heritage listed Great Barrier Reef from port and coastal development says the Australian Marine Conservation Society (AMCS).
„This report card gives a resounding ‚Fail‘ to the Queensland and Federal governments for their defense of the Great Barrier Reef from development. It is a case of ‚must do better‘,“ said Darren Kindleysides, AMCS Director.
